Jackson Hole Wedding: Cécile and Max: Heather Erson Photography

Cécile and Max’s rustic wedding in Wilson, Wyoming combined European and American traditions. Although they grew up in the United States, Cecile and Max now live in Basel, Switzerland. Max grew up in Wilson, a small town down the road from Jackson, Wyoming. His family immigrated from Germany and founded the Heidelberg Resort at the base of Teton Pass, Wyoming. Cécile is from my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, but spent her childhood summers in the French countryside.

The ceremony took place in the backyard of a family friend, and I must say the views were amazing. Their friends Bland Hoke and Mark Dunstan used two planted aspen trees to form a wedding arch. After the kiss, Cécile and Max danced down the aisle to the opening theme of Star Wars. It rained only for a brief moment creating dramatic skies and soft lighting. The reception was held at Owen-Bircher Park in downtown Wilson. Thank you to Drew McElwee for helping me photograph the day.

Their wedding is featured in A Grand Wedding and Event Planner Magazine on page 76.
