Romantic Mountain Engagement Session
We met up with Kristen and Ryon for a Romantic Mountain Engagement Session in Jackson Hole on June 9th, where we were able to capture some stunning backdrops for a beautiful couple.
Ryon and Kristen traveled all the way from Florida to come up to Jackson Hole for a vacation and for their engagement pictures. Considering the amazing Rocky Mountain backdrop the Tetons offer, visiting the mountains in the spring is a fantastic decision for engagement photos. We were more than happy to join them to make their vision a reality.
My husband (and assistant), Drew McElwee, and I drove to Grand Teton National Park to start out the Romantic Mountain engagement session at the Chapel of the Transfiguration. This rustic log chapel sits on a rise just within the southern entrance of Grand Teton National Park and provides truly inspiring views of the Tetons. It was a beautiful place to begin, with sagebrush fields as well as Arrowleaf Balsamroot flowers, which only bloom for a short time each year. We were incredibly lucky to get to use those rare blooms for the shoot. These delicate, bright yellow blooms look like miniature sunflowers scattered at the base of the Rocky Mountains.
From there, we drove up the road to Schwabacher’s Landing along the banks of the Snake River. The unforgettable natural landscape was as beautiful as ever. We love being able to travel to locations like these for our sessions, since the settings never fail to impress.
Ryon & Kristen, thank you for letting us capture your engagement pictures for you. Congratulations to both of you on this new chapter in your lives
